Really sorry to hear of your situation and I can appreciate how might
feel as I too have previously dated a lady who was happy to be with me
until the "calling" of her Ex was too much that she had to drop me and go running back to him !

Sometimes I think some of the women out there who have been used to being treated "mean" have issues accepting guys that treat them with some respect, it may feel "unnatural" and hence their return to their Ex.
A bit of fearing the unknown ? Just some theories, who really knows sometimes and I sometimes question myself on why I persist with trying
to find a girlReviewiend and a relationship............

I wish I had all the answers, but I don't !

You have my unreserved sympathy GingerBreadMan. It could happen to any of us. We males are the hunter-gatherers. Women are the nurturers, despite the feminist push. It's a cruel fact. I have no doubt that women use the power of the pussy to their own advaneforum.xxxe. They can't help it. It's programmed into them. I love women like you wouldn't believe. You just have to factor in that they will drop you in favour of a more capable provider at the drop of a hat. I'm not saying men are perfect. My personal opinion is we tend to be a bit promiscuous. GMB all I can say to you is please look at this woman as an individual whom has done this hurtful thing to you and not at all women, please don't let one or a bunch of bad apples spoil the whole tree or beautiful orchid of them.

GMB don't let this change your opinion of all women as some woment let their experiences change their views of all men too just like Royce explained sometimes women are hesitant or 'on the back foot' when treated nicely because they are not used to respect and these women as some men, I feel, should buy themselves a mirror and have a deep look at why and whom they choose for company. Self analysis when done correctly can be a very shocking realisation for an individual I had to do it once hahaha and then decided on a major personality re-construction LOL

Merlin in all your wisdom and experience I find your post on women a limited resource, have you tried seeing us as individuals?

You have sympathy - a negative emotion, have you tried empathasising?

I personally (as a woman) have no desire for a provider, security or reproduction, I have plenty of sex hehe and more is always welcomed, I am more than satisfied with what I have and who I am as a person and a woman.

You mentioned companionship and oh yes indeed we are creatures of comfort (male and female) to an extent and desire to be desired, needed and wanted. Good wholesome companionship is hard to find in todays society all you have to do is read GBMs first post above to see just a small example of that but to segregate the sexes I have never believed in we fit like a glove so why do we still insist on stereotyping one another and being on different teams???

Ultimately, we humans are creatures of habit and despite how much we may say or think that we can cope with change, we are NOT designed to be able to survive if CHANGE is a constant. We all need some form of stability ( at different levels and by different standards ) so that we can feel reasonably comfortable in knowing there is some certainty about what we are doing and how we live our lives.
