In a shocking turn of events, the parents of a 16-year-old boy are reeling after discovering that their son had racked up a bill exceeding S$1,000 at a massage parlour in Boon Keng.
The situation took a distressing twist when it was revealed that the teenager had engaged in “special” services offered by a masseuse at the establishment. According to a report by Shin Min Daily News, the boy’s father, Mr. Chen, disclosed that the series of events unfolded after his son received a suspicious friend request on WeChat.
Upon accepting the request, the unnamed woman, who claimed to be a masseuse working at a parlour in the vicinity, lured the boy in with promises of services that would bring him happiness.
The conversation quickly turned inappropriate as it ventured into discussions about sexual services and pricing. Despite his young age and vulnerability, the boy succumbed to the temptation and made his way to the massage parlour. This initial visit sparked an addiction, leading him to return multiple times and indulge in the “special” services provided by the masseuse.
In a troubling revelation, Mr. Chen shared that his son had depleted his entire monthly allowance of S$500 on these visits.
The situation came to light when the boy, seeking additional pocket money, raised suspicions by displaying an empty wallet. Upon further investigation, the parents delved into the boy’s phone and were horrified by the explicit conversations between him and the masseuse. Faced with their ultimatum of involving the authorities, the boy finally came clean about his activities.
Expressing shock and anger, the parents struggled to come to terms with the extent of their son’s spending, which went beyond his pocket money to encompass his savings and monetary gifts.
This prompted Mr. Chen to file a police report, acknowledging his son’s wrongdoings while condemning the parlour for targeting impressionable teenagers.
