Hello folks,

The back is acting up and WCB is paying the bill, so I was wondering what recommendations you may have for an acupuncture/chiropractor provider in the YEG area. I’ve never seen either one, so any info would be appreciated.

Serious kudos for having such optimism. A chiro is never going to be doing handys. Thats ridiculous.

I've only been for acupuncture a single time, seems like a waste of time. She spent about 10 minutes putting all the needles in, then left for 45 minutes and came back and took them all out.

If only she gave me a HJ during that 45 minute period it might have actually been worth the $115 I had to pay!

Probably not going to find that, a chiro is a doctor so why risk a lucrative license. Legit acupuncture try University TCM by the U of A, you should be happy when the pain is gone, then you can find a happiness provider.

In Ontario, many years ago chiropractors were banned from doing quick and sudden neck adjustments as studies showed that the incidents of patients suffering strokes in the hours and days after were statistically higher and significant when compared to other chiropractic treatments that did not include such maneuvers. Not sure what the rules are in Alberta.

But seriously, why would anyone seek them out for "happy" services? Kinda creepy. May result in a snapped neck, is what comes to mind.

As for harassing acupuncturists, the next day headline "pervert pinned to death" is a real possibility.

I do like Acupuncture STEM for repairs ...it really works great and I would STEM recommend to anyone.
I'm not very experienced at knowing if my girl is good or not since she is the only one i have seen. (i wonder what her skills are with a couple years at NAIT verses someone from the far east and 40 years experience
. and like TBone says she leave for a big part of the session which is kind of a rip IMHO
I would like to shop it around so please keep the recommendations coming

For those more experienced at this than I am....who is good in the west or southwest? I prefer female just because that is who I feel comfortable chatting with. a lot of the TCM websites don't mention direct billing...DB is preferred for me please
