An interseting stat. How many spas opened in 2004 and 2005?

I thought this statistic is quite interesting as it factors into the discussions people are having about LE and spa closures.

According to my records 180 massage parlours in the GTA have opened since Jan 2004 and 150+ remain open. That is almost 3 per week.

There are a million reasons why there are so many and I'm not sure which is the most important. I thinks we'd all agree that society has changed.

If you were to conservatively guestimate how many MP's there are from Miss to Edge of Scarb from Major Mack to the lake, what would you say?

How many do you think are truly new? I know that many places advertise with 'Grand Opening' for years.

Do you think some close and pop up elsewhere to find new clients?

Do you think some just change their advertising to look like new spas but with the same location and staff?

Or are most of them truly new?

Its true about the "Grand Opening" specials going on forever.

Most of the spas opening in the 2000s are by ex-MPAs in new locations
My database that won't allow me to reuse an address or phone number without a warning message to appear.

Adabest is an example of a spa using a location that was a spa before (Violet).
16 spas have opened since in new locations.
