Arnica Muscle Rub

Not sure where to post this, so I put it here.I am looking for a good Arnica muscle rub.  I purchased some a while back that I love, but the store I purchased it from is no longer there and the label is worn off.  I am almost out and I would like to offer the rub to clients.Any suggestions?Thanks!

Arnica Muscle Rub

arnica is usually sold as an infused oil rather than an essential oil (but you get it from essentail oil suppliers).  Arnica creams are quite often homeopathic creams rather than using the actual oil. The one I am familiar with and use on myself is http://www.martinandpleasance.com/products.php?dis=cat&ca_ID=6&pr_ID=72 it's an Australian company. I find the homeopathic cream so good that I don't bother with the arnica infused oil. I'm actually not too fond of infused oils because I don't do through them fast enough before the vegetable oil they are infused in starts to go rancid.  I'll buy calendula infused oil on a need to use basis and always end up throwing half the bottle away.  Arnica I just stick with the homeopathic creams. If you do get infused oil, keep any unused oil in the fridge (that's my other problem - I forget they are in the fridge....)

Way back when, I used to work for Boericke & Tafel, which pioneered the Arnica Gel (called Arniflora) in the United States back in 1987 or early 1988. (I was there for the first batch!)   It is a good product:  non staining, absorbs well, and at a good therapeutic concentration for general use. PS - Anybody with kids, babies, or lots of general bruising would benefit from keeping this product around! Barbara

I've used two different arnica products that I really like. One is the arnica salve made by Ravenwood and the other one is arnica oil by Weleda. Ravenwood has a fantastic website and you can order online. We get Weleda products from LotusLight.

The salve is great for spot treatments and the oil can be mixed with your lotion or cream to make a nice "sports" rub.

:iagree: I keep Traumeel in the medicine cabinet & it's truly an amazing product. I use it as a spot-rub for sore muscles/joints on myself. I've also used it to aid in injury healing. (My husband hit his thumb with a hammer & thought he'd have to have his thumbnail drilled to relieve the pressure from the inflammation. Instead, I had him apply Traumeel once every couple of hours and the swelling & pain went away. Great stuff!) Ingredients include: Arnica, Calendula, Witchhazel, Wolfsbane, Belladonna, Chamomile, Echinacea & others.

It´s very warming and soft. It have a nice scent of rosemary and lavender. Mostly I make my clients a special oil with base oil and essential oil who I blend just for them but when Im on the go this oil is my favourite.
