I've never used that line, and it's not one I like to see from atheists: it's spoiling a case by overstating it.

Babies are born un-knowing, so agnostic would be a much better fit.

A baby can not accept or reject. I would not call them an atheist as we can't know what their thoughts are. However, we can also assume they have NO beliefs as they have no concepts of such things.

Perhaps they are agnostic- without knowledge of the divine. That makes the most sense to me.

Babies are introduced to concepts through the duality experience as we enter into this realm of existence. Our bodies are designed for slavery the moment we pop in. So information data ect... is streaming and its effecting baby's in their early stages of development. Even parents they come running to a child when they are hurt and show love. However what they are doing is programming them for pain. So they associate Love with Pain... When one rejects the concept of God, its because they have entered into a painful relationship with that energy.

All of us express this process in some way or another... But when you look at the concept of the atheist versus anything else... its just another unique expression of separation... Going from one belief construct to the next...

All us our born with mechanisms of control built into our biology, neurology ect...
We over ride all these in the moment of choosing freedom...

Babies are born without any knowledge. They cannot comprehend the concept of a god, so there's no way they could believe in one. You must be able to comprehend a concept before you can accept or reject it. Without a belief in a god, all babies are atheists.

Technically, atheism means that you do not believe in God. A baby has no concept of God, and so does not believe in It. Atheism is not necessarily a rejection of it.

For example, I'm going to guess that you have never heard of the god Tezcatlipoca. You have not rejected a belief in this god since you have never heard of Him. But you still don't believe in Him. You are an aTezcatlipocan.

Well babies have no beliefs in any gods, so technically they are atheists. Since it is not a conscious decision I guess you could also technically say they are not.

However they only way a child learns about a concept of god is if they are taught it. So religion or god is imposed on people and children so they would not believe in a god unless they were taught it.

Suppose that there is an obscure african tribe that worships a tree God called Wasseppmmmaanneeegau would you say that you are a believer of Wasseppmmmaanneeegau until you hear about him and reject him or would you say that since you haven't heard about him, you definitely can not believe he exists

We believe what we're told to or we work it out for ourselves. You don't find Christians born into a Muslim family or vice-versa. If you parents or your community is of a particular faith, that is most likely what you will follow until you are able to question and discover it yourself. Theism means to know of and believe in a god. If you were born already knowing all about god then why would someone have to tell you. Why are people trying to convert others if they were already born converted.
