Baby waking up alot more after introducing solids?

Just wondering if someone else has gone through this, my son is 6 months old and I started him on solids 3 weeks ago. He seems to be doing well, no gas or constipation and eating quite well but starting to wake up alot more at night 4-5 times. he use to sleep 5-6 hour long stretch but now i am lucky if he sleeps for more than 2. I am breastfeeding the same amount during the day and I don't think he is teething..

any one else gone through this or suggest what it could be??

Wait a little longer to introduce food his digestive system might not be able to handle it or he just mightbe getting to the point he doesnt need as much sleep so keep him awake more in the day get him on a schedule where he sleeps during the day but all night.

He is most likely waking up because he is hungry.Breast feeding him in the middle of the night probably isn't enough for him any more so you may have to start mixing some infant oatmeal with some jared baby food fruit like pears to add flavor.Try making sure before he goes to bed he is going to sleep with a full belly.I had this problem with my daughter when she was around that age as well and it was because she was going to bed hungry and after i started feeding her about 20 minutes before bed time she stared to sleep all through the night for me.Just be sure that you just giving him stuff like oatmeal mixed with some thing when he is waking up in the middle of the night because if you feed him some thing that is to heavy on his stomach he won't sleep plus it is a quick preparation and you don't have to mess with cooking in the middle of the night.I know it is a crappy thought of waking up getting out of bed and feeding the baby food instead of just breast feeding and not having to get out of bed but trust me the baby will be alot happier and will sleep longer for you if you do that.
