Bad advertising

FYI, people of this forum, please use your thinking caps and common sense when writing an ad. In my community each year, there is an auction where you place bids via phone for discounted services. Here are two examples from the same person:

1)Massage therapy, also known as Swedish massage, is the most common form of massage therapy in the U.S. Removing the part is commas it would read "Massage therapy is the most common form of massage therapy in the U.S.

2) Hot stone massage is a variation on classic massage therapy. Heated smooth, flat stones are placed on key points on the body, The massage therapist may also hold the stones and use them to massage certain areas of the body. Included in this ad is a drawn picture of a lady laying on her stomach , stones on her back with just a towel covering her butt. The wording (certain areas) led me to believe it is of a sexual nature.

Remember, you represent all massage therapists. Be smart. Ask someone to proof read your ads. Or two or three people. I understand where this person was going with the ads, they just don't get advertising 101.

Mmm it takes all kinds I guess. I see a lot of unprofessionalism in our industry, and a lot of really great folks doing great things too.
