Jesus's teachings? In my opinion, there seems to be a great deal of bloodshed of innocent civilians just because they were 'different.'

The Crusades (blood "waded till the knees")
Salem Witches
Inquisition
Galilleo (and stealing his manuscripts)
The peasants of the Old Regime in France.

Christianity is one of those systems of belief, like communism and democracy- massively misunderstood, constantly paid lip service and very seldom ever practised in reality. Any belief can and will be subverted for the use of the powerful and the greedy. It would be wonderful to see what a world without dogma would look like, but I fear that this is simply not possible. Too many human beings find the challenge to avoid easy answers and to commit themselves to thinking in every situation too darn challenging.
