Body shop

Hi, i have done a few indulgence nights, and was wondering if anyone had come across these body shop reps, i questioned one about there training and weather or not they have to be insured? as they are doing facials, hand massage withot propper training and no insurance.
we therapists pay hundreds of pounds to train and then pay for insurance when you have these reps doing hand massages and facials at these nights with no proper training and no insurance and are charging for there massages, am i the only one that feels anoyed.

It's not right but doesn't really bother me, as they only use Body Shop products. I have had a few parties and have never been charged nor have my guests, I don't see why they charge, thought that was the point of the parties, you get to use the products and then buy

One of my daughters friends is a 'consultant', using the money she earns to help pay some bills whilst she is a Uni. She had to invest in a 'starter pack' (about £50?) and then earns 25% of any sales at the parties. She averages a party a week, which fits in with her course work. She doesn't do any 'hands on' treatments as she believes that the clients enjoy playing with the stuff enough already, plus the products sell themselves. She has never mentioned people being charged for treatments at one of their parties. As for insurance - people are attending 'at their own risk' so will be covered under the party-holders insurance.

My Mum was an Avon Lady for many years - she never posed a threat to the local beauty therapists, and all her customers loved to be able to muck around with the various products, usually over a cup of coffee or a sherry!!!

i am not worried about the body shop people, i was just supprised that they do hand massage and facials etc with no training and are charging for there treatments.
