Can you recommend 5 Cigars for a Newbie to start with.?

I mostly plan on smoking them on the golf course maybe a few at home . I want to stay in the $3.00 to $9.00 per cigar price range . ( cheaper is better )

Lots of good cigars listed, but unfortunately most are not really good choices for a newbie.

Some good cigars to try include:

Butera Royal Vintage (will be a bit pricey)

Romeo y Julieta
Helix
Arturo Fuente
Baccarat
Excalibur

At that price, you can try all but the very best cigars.

If you want cheap, you can still get pretty good cigars, especially smaller ones, in the $1-$3 range. But if you want something that looks good on the golf course, get at least the Robusto or Toro size.

The online retailers sell samplers, with a humidor. If the cigar is very strong, just get a sense of it. No inhaling.

Cigars International has good deals and great samplers. I get most of my cigars from there. I've been a fan of CAO since I started smoking, but there is a world of cigars to choose from. Just smoke what you like.
