Cancer boyfriend won't introduce me to his family :( Why not?

I'm a Pisces and I've been seeing this great guy for about 5 months now. Things are going great, and I couldn't be happier with him - I stay at his place like every night and he's told me he loves me. This honestly is the deepest I've ever fallen for someone in my life. (I'm 28, he's 29)

Anyway, about 2 months ago his sister and brother came to town and I couldn't stay over because they were and he'd have no space. I didn't push the envelope, but he made no effort to introduce me, saying that he "didn't think it was all that important". When I came back to his place after they left I saw he'd hidden my toothbrush and dvds and stuff.

Now his sister is coming up again in 2 weeks, and he's already told me he doesn't want me to stay over that weekend because "it's a loft apt and I wouldn't want it to be awkward that we'd be in the same bed and she'd be on the couch."

What should I do? I feel really hurt by this. Do you think he doesn't really love me, or is ashamed of me or something? Isn't this really, really weird for a Cancer?

Don't take it personal.

You guys have only been together 5 months. Maybe they make him feel insecure and hes afraid they will judge him or judge you so right now hes keeping it all seperately. Hes not embarrassed by you, and it sounds like hes serious with you, its just with cancer U need to take your time cuz security for them is the key.

Unless his family are a bunch of religious nuts that would condem him for having a young lady sleep over it does seem a it strange. Have you even met the sister? Start going on about how great it will be to meet her and how you want to go shopping with her (or whatever you're in to) and see what the reaction from the boyfriend is.

It's ok hunny don't let this hurt you in anyway. I'm really sure that he loves you because us cancer's don't joke about love and we take it really seriously, I just think he needs more time in introducing you because maybe his family are people who are judgmental and I know for sure that he's waiting for the perfect time to introduce you, who knows maybe he wants you to be a surprise, we could be very unpredictable

But don't let this problem hurt you, you are the best thing that happened to him ! If anything goes wrong talk to him about it and he'll tell you the real reason why

well...i'm sure if you found out his moon and venus sign, it'd become more clear. The moon sign represents the emotions, how we feel about our mother figure, how 'commited' we are in general. both me and my brother are Cancers; my moon is in Sagittarius, his moon is in Virgo. my brother introduced my parents to his Gemini girlfriend straight away, without hesitation, in fact....he was looking forward to introducing his girlfriend to our mother, and was smiling widely the whole time, as if proud of the family. whereas i, on the other hand, would rather avoid introducing a guy to my parents...and when they've happened to bump into me in the past with a guy, i become embarassed and awkward, like a school-girl in trouble. one of the things i dread about becoming comitted in a relationship is introducing my parents to the special someone. my Sagittarius moon is flighty and de-tatched from intimacy; it's almost like the Cancer in me plays no part at all in my relationships, i cringe at the thought of my mother, father or brother freaking my boyfriend out or the awkward silence that might become of it. it sounds like your man might have his moon or venus in an Air or Fire sign, but this doesn't mean he's not comitted or is ashamed of you; it's simply either because it hasn't crossed his mind yet, or he's embarassed of his sister/parents, and is worried that they might put their foot in it. also, i might mention...that us Cancers are constantly thinking in situations like these: "what if that happens?" "what if ----- does this?" "what would that person think of us?" and so on...

Maybe he doesn't want them to know that he sleeps with a girlfriend? Cancers can be kind of prudish and puritannical. Maybe he thinks it's too soon for you to meet them? Maybe he wants alone time with them? If there's anything Cancers love it is their family. I would have told him that I would like to meet them - maybe you all could have gone out for dinner or something. I am a Pisces and I have been with a Cancer for years and it's the best relationship of my life. I leave stuff at his place and he always puts it in a little drawer that is just for me or organizes it on a table on my side of the bed. I think it's kind of funny. Next time his sister is in town, tell him you'd like to cook dinner for them or go out with them and see what he says. This sign is the marrying type, if that's what you eventually seek. My Cancer man has asked me to marry him twice and I have already been there, done that.
