Championship Boxing - Monday

Just spoke on the phone with the friendly neighbourhood boxing promoter I knew that he was having a big night on Monday but it sounds like a specially big one.. Told him I would spread the word.

Location is the Sai Nam Yen Boxing stadium (next to bowling / bungy jump).. Monday night.. Approx start 8 - 8:30.. There are min 3 titles fights at stake and 8 or 9 fights on the full card.

Cost is supposed to be 1000 baht for ringside and 700 baht for ordinary walk in rates but watch out, if your taken in by tuk tuk they squeeze for commision and kickbacks so that will effect the prices given unless its explicity stated and haggled out first..

Tickets can be got in advance for about 500 / 700 through me or a bar I can direct you to until Monday afternoon. I make nothing from this just 'freinds discount'.. I could try to get some issued to Gier if he wanted I guess (need to ask both Gier and issuer)...

Personally I am pretty partial to pugalist sports so I will definately be there.. Will get some posters later to see what titles are at stake etc..

Its ok for me, but monday is comming up soon, so I guess we have clear it with the issuer quite fast...........If you are out tonight we could go to have a talk to him........I guess he would be more than happy about it

Well that was a great night.. Thanks to Tams generosity it was 'economical' for all that turned up..

Some great bouts.. Some kids fighting at the start but the amazing thing was these 11 and 12 y/o's were not fcuking about, both of them really could throw a punch with thier shoulder behind it, big kicks, the lot.. I would dread to be thier parent mid teens !!!

2 knockouts, one that just dropped the guy face down to the canvas for a full worrying 30 secs.. One delivered with left cross and one later on with a right elbow that was so fast it was a blink and you missed it.. Both knockouts came from fighters that were losing on points so total fight turnaround.

There were points that had me standing on the seat shouting along and I enjoyed it a lot.. Even my GF came home going "I like boxing.. we go again na kha ??" which I didnt expect
