Beaumont — The City of Beaumont has slammed the door shut on a west end massage parlor after BPD arrested an employee on a prostitution charge, and the landlord is ready to boot out the business.
Beaumont Police confirm officers arrested Dan Wang, 43, on a charge of prostitution Wednesday after an undercover officer went to BL Massage in the 3600 block of Calder Avenue.
Wang was jailed on a misdemeanor charge of prostitution. At last check, she remained in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
The city revoked the Certificate of Occupancy for BL Massage and we've learned the landlord has posted a Notice to Vacate on the front door. The business must leave by Monday, November 11. The notice reads in part:
You're hereby notified to vacate the premises you now occupy and deliver possession to the undersigned, for the reasons stated below:
Breach of the terms of the agreement
Other: Breach of lease-illegal activity
"I demand possession of the property. This is a notice to vacate the premises within 3 days by Monday, November 11, 2024. You are directed to remove all your personal property from the premises and return the key to the owner. If you fail, neglect, or refuse to vacate said premises, I will take such legal action as the law requires to put you off said premises."
