COEUR D’ALENE, ID – Coeur d’Alene Police have revoked the business licenses of five local massage facilities following an investigation into reports of illegal sexual activity. According to the department, the investigation began several months ago after authorities received complaints of unwanted sexual touching at multiple establishments.
While local prosecutors declined to pursue criminal charges due to the complexities of the cases, the volume and nature of the allegations led the city to take administrative action. In coordination with the Municipal Services Department, officers revoked the business licenses for Oriental Massage Spa, Red Sea Massage, Oriental Body Work, Asia Massage, and Chinese Bodyworks earlier today.
Detectives also expressed concern that some employees at the implicated facilities may be victims of sex trafficking. The Coeur d’Alene Police Department emphasized its commitment to supporting legitimate businesses while holding those engaged in criminal activities accountable.
Anyone with information regarding illegal activity at the named businesses is encouraged to contact Detective Newbill at 208-292-5778.
