Did your dad introduced you to Cricket?

Well....I was thinking of posting a question but I wasn't really able to figure out what should I ask.

So.....after a few minutes of thinking I came up with this simple question.

Did your dad introduced you to this beautiful game which we all know as Cricket or was it you yourself who got attracted towards cricket?

If your dad did introduce you to cricket then it would be really nice if you share the experience with us.

yup, well kind of, he was just there at the lounge all the time watching cricket, we didn't have a choice coz he controlled the remote so we had to watch it too. He went on a tour to england with a group (he was a fanatic) so we had to go also coz that's what our holiday was suppose to be, in other words he was leading us to like cricket without even realising it, but one thing though, he let us play whatever sports we want to play at school or for social sports so I got to play baseball, t ball and tennis and a few other sports at school which he didn't mind.

Not really. I found cricket on my own. I've traced the origins of my interest in the game to when I was home sick from school at about age 9, and I was channel surfing, and lo and behold, there was the cricket.

My dad, introduced me to this glorious game. He took me to see keith Miller bat in the 5th (I think) test against Len Huttin's Englishmen.

No not really he would usually give me grief about watching 'paint dry' or watching the 'grass grow'. Didn't faze me - I'll watch most sports just so happens cricket would be one of my favourites.

He liked to watch the one dayers in the late 80's. And seeing as though we only had the one tv at the time I watched it as well! Cheers dad!!

Yes Nero, my Dad played 1st grade for Parramatta in the Sydney comp. I went along every Saturday to watch him

My brother and dad did, really. They used to watch the matches, and sometimes when I had nothing to do, I'd sit down and watch too, and started to get interested in the game.

Yes, Dad (and Grandad for that matter + uncles) were all into it. Can't really recall a time as far back as I can remember when the bat and ball didn't come out at any gathering.
