Very interesting.  I have always considered one of the perks to doing massage for a living is being able to do part time work for full time income.  I love working 20 hours a week or less    I have a lot of free time for other endeavors.Looks like things are changing, though.  Not that I am opposed to change, but I may be working 20 to 30 hours per week before long, if my YP listing continues to pick up steam!

Hey Carol...thanks for posting that statistic.  Sadly, the most common statistic that I've seen regarding the average MT earnings is that due to the median income of $20k/year that somehow means that as a group we only make approximately $10/hour.  (since there are approximate 2000 working hours in a full-time year.)  Hopefully, the information that you posted becomes propagated to the masses and those who rely on the flawed statistic (ie our beloved Dr Ricchio and his ilk) will realize that we are indeed trained professionals and our work is valuable!
