The City of Fremont shut down and revoked the business permits of eight massage parlors following a multi-agency investigation that found “substantial evidence” of prostitution and activities associated with human trafficking, police said Saturday.
Fremont police say they launched the investigation following numerous complaints of suspected illegal activity happening at those businesses.

The businesses were issued letters notifying them of their closure and that their permits had been revoked, police said.
Police identified the businesses as: Amazing Spa, 34253 Fremont Blvd.; Lucky Star, 3667 Thornton Ave.; Roland Spa, 3910 Lake Arrowhead Ave.; Eurasia Day Spa, 3909 Stevenson Blvd, Suite C; Venus Skin Care Spa, 40501 Fremont Blvd.;J&A Spa, 4171 Cushing Parkway; Diamond Spa, 43446 Grimmer Blvd.; Princess Salon, 3769 Peralta Blvd.
