Favourite treatment to give

Hi guys

I was wondering what treatment everyone likes to give best, i know its hard, but just choose one! Im stuck between Reflexology and Indian head massage, but............. i am going to choose REFLEXOLOGY!

yeah i gotta go for reflex too... i get good results and feedback from it. massage is nice and the stones are lovely, but reflex is a great all rounder (or all overer!). and more often than not, most get a reiki zap too... which is fine by me. )

Mine varies from day to day, but today it was def Reflex. I had some amazing results from it - and I was treating an alopathic doctor who came in not believing anything about it (his girlfriend bought him the treatment!) He left amazed...........

I do love gving IHM but Ear Candles has to be my favourite I jsut feel so spiritual when I give this therapy. I am hoping that I feel comfortable giving Reiki one day, I enjoy self treatment but have a long way to go before I will be comfortable giving it!

I love giving massages. Seeing someone come in tense, nervous or stressed and going home chilled out and relaxed gives me great satisfaction. I do love IHM and have had some amazing results with Bells Palsy patients.

Reflexology for me too, though Reiki is also mind blowing. All my therapies are full of surprises for me and I never get bored.

I am the same as healinghands, I love doing massage, i gain alot from seeing the benefits in clients, also doing reiki, the benefits a tremendous.

More to explore, esp, reflexology and Aromatherapy, i feel i will learn alot from studying both, roll on September.

I never thought I'd say it but Reiki is my absolute favourite. Funny really because it was the first therapy I was drawn to, went on to do aromatherapy, reflexology, ihm, ear candling because I felt something was missing only to discover that Reiki was the one for me after all. Still do offer all the others but most of my clients "choose" reiki.

I am not a practitioner yet but have read all the posts here with great interest because I am starting a 1 year Holistic Therapies course at my local college in September which will include reflexology, massage and aromatherapy. Completed Reiki 1 and 2 in April this year but like Rainbowchild, I feel uncomfortable giving it but think I need to practice a bit more on my friends and rellies although enjoy and feel ok with self treatments.

It is exciting to read your experiences on various therapies. Effectiveness of therapy depends upon the sincerity of the client, sincerity of the therapist and appropriateness of a therapy. Taking all the three factors into account, will it be possible to give experiencial account as to what extent the therapies work?

I do reflex and IHM. I prefer to do reflex as the IHM makes my back ache (giving it), although the clients love it.
I find they are more likely to want a course of treatments for reflex as well. IHM is perceived often as a pamper session.

I am so lucky I get lovely massages from Lesley and reflex from Mei lien as swaps and both are so effective. Haven't been so well for a long time. My energy levels are really good at mo.

Cogratulation for your success. But imagine the woman with tilted head accidentally met me in a common friend's house. She was unsuccessfully treated by all known medial professionals. The then there I gave her a session combined with certain advice. By the next meeting her head was normal and straight. But in another case an aquaintance visited me for 3 years with the complaint of depression and contnued to report nil improvement. So it matters what is the "extent". regards.

Thats the way it goes I'm afraid.

There are some conditions you just cant remedy,but having the treatments will always be good for the holistic health and well-being of clients and they benefit from them. This is what I tell my sub fertility clients particularly, to make them more relaxed and less focussed on only 1 goal of achieving pregnancy. Some conditions involve a longer course of treatments, especially when dependant upon monthly cycles.

Depression can be very difficult and the client may benefit from other specialist therapies such as EFT or NLP or life coaching as the answer is probably buried deep within their psychie. They cant get better until they unlock what is holding them back.

I encourage clients to seek help elsewhere if I think treatments dont seem to be helping.

Long after mother Thresa passed away, a news was widely published that a village woman had gone to the field. there she "saw" mother Thresa who blessed the woman to be cured from cancer and she was cured.

To me this story can be true. Assuming that this story is true, what is your interpretation? regards.

dear lesley. i am sorry if it appeared so. But i am still on the focus and i was intending to lead to the explanation of therapies. Whatever we do in therapy, we do generate a clear and vivid imagination of wellness. Tha is what heals. In whom we are able to generate the vivid imagination of wellness are cured and not others therapeutic technique remaining the same.

In the posted story about mother Theresa, the sufferer woman hallucinates mother Theresa. both visual and auditory hallucinations are clearly reported. she thinks the hallucination as real which gives her the most vivid imagination of wellness and she recovers. This can be a fact. so whatever may the way if we can generate a vivid imagination of wellness in the consciousness of the sufferer then we succeed. this is what i wanted to emphasise.regards.

Shiatsu or Reiki? Hard choice! I think that with some people I prefer to do one, and with others the other. One therapy can feel "just right"for someoen at a given time, and so I enjoy doing that one more.

has to be hopi ear candles love peoples faces when they see what was in there ear.... but love aroma full body massage, love when they are so relaxed beyoned belief and drunk like.... especially when its there first massage ever.
