Fine talent fleeing from Las Margaritas

I was just on Margaritas last night and, funny for me, but being a weekend at the end of the month I expected the place to be packed. Turns out the pace was not half-full and you could see the faces of rustration on some grils because most clients are very pnny-pinching ticos who only buy beer and do not invite them to any drink,let alone ask for a private session. When my girl Daniela sat down with me (the hot bartender) she told me that there´s a considrable group of girls who have decided to abandon Las Margaritas and become part of the grand re-opening of Josephine´s, at the north side of town. he told me this is a loud secret, and that that group includes Shery, Rachel, Karol, her, and about 3 girls more. Her reasons are pretty understandable: 1)At Josephine´s a private sessions costs about the same ($20) but no sex is given, 2)Far more gringos and tico businessmen will go to a higher-scale place like Josephine´s (which used to be owned by the same rippers that own Elite), and 3) Las Margaritas is going downhill ever since like 3 or 4 months ago.

So, if any of the girls I said above is one of your favorites, Josephine´s re-opening is on November 3rd, so I would advice to give Margaritas one last visit to take on the girl of your liking.

This is very unfortunate news as Las Margaritas has had quite a line up the past year or more.It has become my favorite strip club. Josephines doesn't sound like my kind of place for sure.rbc100

Sad news if it's true. However... As a frequent visitor to many of the lower-mid end places, I have noticed that the girls move around a lot. When business is slow, they look for someplace else to work, and often enough the place they go is no better or even worse (in terms of the money they make, that is).

The higher end places, the clip joints potentially pay very well per 'client/sucker', but there are droughts and slumps, ups and downs. I've never been to Josephine's though it's quite close to my apartment. I may check it out, warily. I would guess that the grass that seemed quite green from the other side of the fence will turn out to be the same grass that was on the old side of the fence.

I'll wait a week or so and give a report. I'll talk with Karol, see what the deal is.

Just to make a quick point here... Josephine´s was not that much of a ripper when it had existed before. There was just no sex, period (at the time there weren´t even any rooms), but if you wanted to have an easygoing night, drinks were at the same price as other places like Pantera or Margaritas, and I had no waiters trying to strecth the lower limits of my credit card. The place simply boinked because Elite sold it to some guy who knew nothing about strip clubs and he let all the good girls take a hike. I have every reason to believe that this place will be very similar in fashion to Lipstick; hot girls, but no place for sex. But, I insist, if you want a calm night, this would be your place to go in the past; I would have to visit again when they re-open.

Also, remember that most of these girls say something today, then something different tomorrow. It´s no secret that the good season for all businesses in Costa Rica starts on november, so they may think twice and stay. I´m just telling you guys what Dani said in case you wanted to have your last session.

By the way, Karol and Daniela do the lesbian show now in Margaritas...on Friday they were both dressed as nurses so you can imagine how hot the show was. A must see---DEFINITELY.

Ok, was there tonight and according to one of the girls, the rumour is true, several are moving on to the renovated Josephine's early in November. We'll see how much money they make there and how long they stay there. I'll go check the place out when it opens, as it's close to my apartment. But don't worry guys, the Molino Rojo was SMOKIN tonight!

I don't think you meant Lipstick here... Lipsticks is connected to Krysis and you CAN take any of the Lipstick girls to a Krysis room for full service.

A little more info I got from one of the dancers... The reason at least one is changing 'venue' is that the split they have been promised at Josephine's is better. I am told that at Margarita's they get less than 50% on the drinks they hustle and the new Josephine's will give them a better deal. The thing is, I don't think these girls are taking into account the liklihood that there may not be that much business at the new place. 100% of 10 dollars is still less than 40% of 30 dollars. With no sex available I don't see many gringos going to visit any of these girls there, why bother? Carol, for example, has lots of fans, but I doubt they will follow her to Josephine's if they can't consumate their passion. I certainly won't bother.

Short update: I visited both places last night. Josephine's wasn't open yet, the guys said Thursday night. They handed me a flyer with some info about pricing but I haven't looked at it yet. I'll post info soon on that. At Las Margaritas it was pretty dead though I had a good time. None of the girls who told me they were going to Josephine's were there last night. More info to come...

I certainly hope Margaritas can maitain some decent talent. It has been such a fun place over the last year or more I hope it continues. It has been slow most trips early in the week but from Thursday on can be lots of fun.Look forward to more updates Bilko as I am homesick for San Jose.rbc100

Okay, looking at the flyer, the grand opening is the 16th, 7pm to 4 am. 2 for 1 drinks all night, no cover all night, minimum 8$ (4k colones). Raffles for table dances. I will probably go to see what's goin on, who from Margaritas is there now, etc.

Was in Margaritas last night, and the place definitely is sucking right now. It is pretty damn dead, and as if in sync with the situation, the lighting in the street right now is close to none, so it is becoming a dangerous place to visit. Only Karol was there who is worth mentioning...either way I was on a hurry so I did not check it out much. But it seems the best times are past us.
