I have just bouht I foot detox. could anyone tell me how much do they charge and what treatments do they offer with the detox.

without promoting the place that you got it from, how much did you pay?

I have had a platinum detox done, and after the treatment which took approx 20-30 minutes, she cleaned my feet for me, then gave me a quick foot massage, then sat with me until I drank a glass of water whilst she talked me through the treatment.

You could offer a longer foot massage, or a reflexology treatment with it, but shorten it.

Or you could do a guided meditation when they have the feet in the detox machine, or you could give a back and shoulder/IHM massage.

opps, forgot to mention how much I paid. She usually charges £40 (she is expensive with all her treatments) but often offers it at a special rate of £30, but as I was her friend she charged me a tenner!!!

and it got rid of the worst hangover I've had in a long time!!!!!!!

talking about detox treatment, not selling, just general knowledge for anyone interested in buying a foot spa, I saw brand new detox foot spa for £150.00 on ebay, theres quite a selection, worth trying out.

As for ideas, what I would do is use the foot spa for a exclusive pedicure, perform your usual treament right up to before the massage and add this instead of or after treatment.

Roughly I would charge about £30-£40 for treatment, you could offer it on as a separate treatment by itself.

My friend bought one off Ebay for £180, and was charging £30 a session or £120 for a course of five. The only problem was, a couple of the clients who she had treated looked on the internet and found out that she had only paid £180, so how could she warrant charging that much for a treatment on what was essentially a domestic machine.

It was a great shame, as she had to refund 3 people the money that they had paid for the rest of their course. So what she ended up doing was selling her machine for £100 to one of her clients and she bought a Professional machine which cost her £700 and obviously she found this worked much better and she had the back up of after sales and posters and leaflets and stuff from the other company.

Just something to bear in mind if you are looking to offer this treatment, as customers do not like being ripped off.

I was going to my local holistic centre to have detox treatments (they use the platinum one) and was paying £30 a treatment.
I suffered badly with migraines and since I having the detox, I have only had one in the last two months - not bad for someone who got them nearly every week for years!
So decided to look into one for home use. I did some research and it all got really confusing as there were so many different types and prices!
I found the platinum ones got the best feedack (plus I knew how they worked and the holistic centre loved it). I even rang a few of the companies and some of their clients!
So decided to take the plunge and got the platinum freedom model that cost me £349 which does not include a foot bowl - I just use a washing up bowl. The arrays are expensive but have not had a problem with them or the unit. I do believe in "you get what you pay for". So I do feel there has to be a reason why some units are over £1000 and others less than £200!
So instead of paying £30 in a centre, it now costs me just £6 and I couldn't be happier!

I know a couple of my clients have the home use version of my professional machine after they had treatments with me. Luckily the company I purchased my machine from, pay me £100 for each client I recommend to them, so I have made myself a tidy little profit so far.
The feedback they have given me has been good, the machines cost them around £400 and the arrays last around 100 uses and are £35 to replace, I also have clients who pay monthly for their machines and they only pay around £20 a month.
The machines that they use for home use also have a lot of the features of a professional quality machine, such as LCD display (which tells you exactly what the machine is doing, instead of having to guess how much time you have left and how much salt to add to the water) I know a lot of the cheaper machines don't have this and it does save a lot of time.
I would recommend home use machines for my clients, but remember you do get what you pay for, I've tried these cheaper machines and in my opinion they really aren't up to the job
