I haven't used this, but just wanted to draw your attention to BBC's Watchdog programme and their report last week.

The best detoxifying pad is the Kinotokara pads developed by the wood vineger society of Japan.It is a fantastic product and is also a great body pain reliever.

I have gone in for aqua detox twice. Did nothing for me. Oh, the water changed color, but I don't believe for one second that toxins were removed from my body because of the array.

I have read the website of Dr. Barrett who is a medical doctor and he has a 'quackwatch' website. The aqua detox machine is listed as a scam.

I read the C.V. of 'Dr.' Mary Staggs who supposedly started producing these machines because of some information she picked up from someone who did a past study. Mary Staggs is 70 years old and lives in Britain. She is NOT a medical doctor and neither is she a Ph.D. She does not have a masters of public health. She went to some off the wall, UNaccredited 'colleges'(?) and
received some certificates and voila ! She is now "Dr." Mary Staggs. This is all according to the article on the internet and the link on Dr. Barrett's 'Quackwatch' website.

The foot detox is a scam. It is big in New York. I read where one man had a detox business, but for some reason closed. The article did not state why he closed. I can GUESS (I don't know) that he was sued.

If a person is not a licensed therapist with the appropriate education to support their position,
I would not believe what was said just because they bought a machine and put on a pair of scrubs. That doesn't make them a therapist.

Aqua foot detox is a scam and my personal doctor told me not to waste my money.

I have not been back. I never felt it did anything for me.

I did buy a foot spa and a parafin foot spa also.

I'd say, buyer beware . . . . . . . .

Is this the same as those ion cleanse machines? It's not a footbath, it's just this little machine that you put in the water of your footbath and it gives the water an electrical charge to draw out toxins. Sounds the same to me! This is all the rage in Hawaii and I'm glad I didn't jump on the bandwagon. Those little machines are expensive!!!

To Audible Soul, you have to do the research.

But yes, they are the same: ion cleansing and they have other fancy names where the array goes into the foot bath and electrical charges go through the body to identify which organs needs to be cleansed.

Frankly, I had never heard of the foot detox until a friend started a business using this machine. So to be supportive, I went twice.

In an effort to be cost efficient, I decided to buy the detox machine. I did lots of research. Being one who respects education, I was horrified to learn that the somewhat originator / seller / promoter of the machines is not a medical person.

I'm really sorry the machines don't work. Guess we'll have to depend upon what God has already gives us: our kidneys, our livers and our skin through which perspiration (and our lymphatic system and our white blood cells).

I would think IF black flecks are coming out through our feet or through our skin, then here's the magical question:
WOULDN'T WE FEEL IT COMING OUT OF OUR SYSTEM?

When I was detoxed, oil was floating on top of the water, black flecks was in the water, the water was orange and white foam was coming out of the array. And the 'therapist' who read the brochure and then became a 'therapist who wears scrubs' told me I had been detoxed.

I've talked to several MEDICAL PERSONNEL, the people with M.D. and R.N. and those with Master's Degrees who are licensed by the State and hired by hospitals as therapists
and I was told it was a SCAM !

It's too bad because I was all set to charge this on my credit card (which I shouldn't be doing anyway).

I had a aqua detox session once. It was OK, I felt relaxed and the electric current was a pleasant sensation.Luckily it was free and personally wouldn't pay for such a treatment. If I was going to spend £30 on a treatment, I would have a proper reflexology session!!!I'm not convinced that it detoxifies.The discoloured water smelt like a chemical reaction like rust.

I like to know how the aqua detox machine can retails for around £1000, when its just aplastic bowl with a electrode and a timer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
