Healing Touch for animals

Has anyone taken the certification course (Komitor method) in healing touch for animals? Is it worthwhile and are you using it professionally? How long did it take you to become certified and about how much does it end up costing? Please let me know, as I am interested in eventually learning this. Thanks!

I have not taken her certification course but because I work with animals (massage therapy & Reiki), I'm interested also. Did you see the article about her work in the August/September's issue of Massage & Bodywork? That article is what sparked my interest in her method. It says in the article that her method is taught throughout the country. I have to look into whether or not she comes to NH. I am more than willing to travel for a quality program. Another method that I've been thinking about for a long time - which takes months and even years to my knowledge - is Tellington Touch.

Healing Touch for animals

Yes, I saw the article in Massage and Bodywork and it sounds so great and like you could really do some good for the animals. I looked on the website last week and it isn't anywhere near Minnesota, but you might have more luck in your area of the country. I can't afford to travel four different times from MN to Colorado (the nearest location to me), so I am bummed about that.

No, no luck, they don't have any workshops in NH either : but I put myself on their mailing list, maybe that will nudge them into my direction, lol!

Yes! I did the mailing list thing also. I also contacted someone on the Healing Touch International (for humans) site in my state and she is also certified in animals. It was good to get info from her and her experiences. You might try talking to someone like that. It doesn't help to get the training to your site though, unfortunately.

That's a great idea. I've been looking into instructors and/or practitioners, of the methods I'm interested in, that possibly reside locally or semi-locally at least. Some of them have websites and I see that they also teach. Even if they don't certify professionally, it would be worth the contact and classes that they do offer.
