Hi Gang, Would is your advice on introducing my new kitten to my dogs?

I am bringing home a new Himalayan kitten today. Yippee! I am not sure how to introduce her to my two dogs. The dogs are superfriendly. I have heard to put her in hr own room but not for how long?? Anyone who has gone through this, I would appreciate your advice. I just want her and them to be happy and well adjusted.

Cats, have scent glands just below cheeks and the at the base of their tale. Before your dogs meet her rub these two areas to get her scent on your hands then go over to your dogs and let them sniff your hands and get used to her scent. Then pet your dog to get his scent on you and go pet your kitten so the dog scent transfers to her. Now bring the kitten out, don't put her on the floor, keep her in your hands and don't let the dogs get to close until they are calm. When they are being calm let them come over and snuffle the kitten for a minute or two, then place the kitten in her own room. Bring her out a couple times a day for increasingly long periods of time until the dogs lose some interest in her, then you can leave her out.

Well if they are super friendly then get stuck in!!!!!!
Hold the kitten to the dogs to let them sniff her, If she hisses or if they growl, Then pull her away!
If they dont then put her down and see what happens!

Bring her into the same room as the two dogs and play with the two dogs as if the cat wasn't there. This shows the dogs that the cat isn't the most important and that they will be treated the same way. Also feed the cat away from the dogs,dogs love cat food.

The best way is to just let them be. I don't mean alone or anything, but let them do their thing, you know? If the dogs get too rough or if the kitten gets too scared, separate them. Just take it easy, go slow, and they will be just fine.

Just make sure she gets a little used to the house and the people first before she is introduced to the doggies. Being in a whole new place with new people will already be rather frightening enough for her. She won't appreciate having it all shoved in her face at once.
