Agreed! The girls who come in and offer a 1 hour $160 rate initially get inundated with calls and can pretty much choose their clientele at that point and never need to advertise again! If you get great service for $160 and you are happy then you will go back and hell even at that rate 10 clients a week is 10 hours work and $1600 dollars tax free which is pretty good cash

A massage therapist that gives a true deep massage is working hard for the money....and at $75-80 ...and I'm guessing the spa takes half of that. And it's not like a 40 consecutive hour work week. Many hours spent waiting for us to show up. So... IMHO the real deal is not easy money

I agree. It's not like they're working steady 8/40's. That would be hard work and good money. But chances are they sit around most of the day waiting for clients. I don't claim to know how they run their businesses but maybe they are paid a daily minimum rate and the tips make it worth their while.

But on this forum- WHO CARES? It's a supply vs. demand market. Providers will ask for the moon, but if they don't get any takers they either close their doors or lower the prices. THAT'S what this forum is all about IMHO- Us sharing info about good value for money. A "consumer's union" or sorts. Heck, ideally, a good businessman will be reading this and instructing his employees to meet our needs. This would draw traffic to him and volume would drive prices down and he'd be making money hand-over-fist.

most massage therapists get a percentage of each massage. usually 60%. the place gets the other 40% for all the other things like laundry, detergent, power, water, kitchen (if any), lockers, washrooms, etc. these are the therapy only places. the other places, I really don't know. Most therapists take many courses over the years in different areas in massage therapy, acupressure, thai massage, aromatherapy, etc. The lucky therapists get a monthly room fee at the place they are at. easier for them this way.

You're right, the purpose of this forum is to share info. When I give a review it is due to my liking's (ie pressure, massage techniques, etc), and when I read a reviewer and I agree with their assessment of a therapist we both seen, then I am more likely to try someone out that that reviewer gave a positive review for. Or stay away from some one that no one gives a positive review for (*cough* chaisty *cough* betty) Some of us don't have endless opportunities to try out every new face in the business, I do try to do my part in TOFTT when an AD shows up to be a good deal or an appointment time is possible(hard to sell that a legit LMT works at 10pm at night even with a receipt), but if someone else has been there and is willing to share the experience, great! It is possible that a legit LMT does offer other services that is agreed upon within the privacy of a room, but if the LMT is worried about reviews and her being exposed for doing other stuff, then I would suggest that a pseudo name is used in the AD and a burn phone used to prevent your real life from finding out and definitely don't advertise with a facial picture. Most Asian ladies use a western name and not their actual name from what I can tell with the receipts they issue.
