How can I introduce myself to him? DESPERATE HELP NEEDED!!?

Ok so there is this really cute guy inyr 10, im in yr 9, and I dont know him but he always on my mind and I get butterflies just thinking about him. I wish he could just know how I feel. My sister is in yr ten and she knows him a little bit. I told her and she said I should go and say hi because he is a nice guy and he wont be an ass. What should I do? How should I do it when I walk past him everyday but never even get to make any eyecontact? He is so dam tall! I am the most shy person in the universe, I choke whenever I get close to him. When he looks at me a almost faint. I dont know why he hasnt got a gf, nobody else sees him like I do. When should I make this grand intoduction, and what can I say to my friends that wont upset them when I say I dont want them standing behind me when I do it. I have to be fast, I am killing myself not knowing. Should I just forget about it, or take a leap of faith out of my comfort zone for something that might be great?
