How do I introduce my cats to my boyfriends dog?

I am about to move in with my boyfriend. He has a huskie and I have two cats that are a year old and have NEVER seen a dog. Can you advise me on how to introduce them? His dog is good with cats and has been around cats often, but my cats have never been around dogs.

Maybe first try bringing them over in their cat carrier and lay that on the floor with them still in while the dog is in the room and after several minutes (if they're not going crazy) let them out. They're going to be mean regardless because they're scared but with time they should be able to tolerate the dog. Good luck!

I would suggest doing it one at a time. Get a little cat cage and put a cat inside and then let the dog sniff the cage for a while and you can then tell how your cat will react. If the cat is calm and just looks at the dog while in the cage then they will be fine together, if your cat hunches it's back and hisses then the dog is going to get attacked because the cat is scared.

If the cat is scared I suggest you tie the dog up and let the cat roam free for a while and it should be curious and go up to the dog by itself. Good Luck x
