Background: I haven't been to church in probably at least four years, except for one Christmas Eve mass. Now that I have my driver's license, I'm planning on going every Sunday.
Question: How do I introduce myself to my church? Should I go and ask the pastor (or whoever happens to be there that day) if there's anything I need to fill out? Any special groups, etc?
Unfortunately, the little church I did go to before my discontinuing it was mostly just reading the Bible, so I know none of the position names in my church except for Pope and Cardinal, and I know that we call our church leaders "Father" (the pastor?). May someone please explain to me the positions held within the Church? (I am Roman Catholic, and will be attending a Roman Catholic church.)
