how do I introduce two female cats(both 1year old) to each other and the new

home at the same time? My boyfriend and I just adopted two cats. Kiki is around a year old stray who was turned into the shelter a week before I adopted her. She is very friendly to humans, but no one know how she'll react to cats. She doesn't claw or bite. Serenity is around a year old as well. She was left all alone by her last owners three days before we adopted her. She is very fearful and scared of sounds and fast movement. But very very loving and happy. Serenity was able to come home with us yesterday night but Kiki was getting fixed so she had to stay at the pound for another day. I've read up on the whole 'safe room' thing and how to introduce a new cat to an old one. Also any help in training or cat care would surely help too.

since you are introducing them to the new environment at the same time the territorial issue shouldn't be a problem, they may sniff around and feel each other out but i don't think they will attack each other i have done it a few times before,just make sure they have a few toys and a couple of climbing post the laze around and claw on and cats have sensitive ears some breeds more so then others so loud sounds will have an affect til they are in habit of hearing them and most cats are scared of something as big as us shuffling by quickly i mean c,mon wouldn't you be if ya stood a foot high and something 5 foot or 6 foot something came at you, also good name my cats name is kiki too....good luck im sure you'll do fine and so will they
