How do you delete a posting????

Can anybody tell me how you delete your own posting please. The little button at the bottom of the page doesn't seem to do anything! I have sent 2 messages (one longer than the other) because my computer said that an illegal operation had been performed and that the job would be cancelled, so I wrote the shorter version, posted it,and low and behold, they both turn up!!!!!!

If anyone could give me any sort of clue it would be appreciated!

It is the white bow with a red x on it at the top of your post that deletes you message ok.

Unless Mike has disabled it you should see it on your own posts, obviously you will not see it on someone else's posts unless you are a moderator! if you click on the FAQ link at the top of the forum then you will se a rundown on the what's and wherefores

Mike had disabled the function as it causes confusion if someone has replied to a topic before it is deleted but you can still edit your posts and as a last resort Mike or one of the moderators can delete it for you.
