how do you get the old facebook chat back without google chrome or mozilla firefox?

i have internet explorer and do not want to download anything else e.g google chrome etc. and i have become frustrated with the new facebook chat sidebar as i cant see everyone who is online can you please help me

though there are some differences to the chat line...it isnt much. you can still see who's on. just like before you must actually OPEN it up to see? duh! anyone with a green dot is on. half moon is on but idle & the others are not there but ones you have recently messaged.

Nah, you cannot get it back. Its the new messaging system.

But when you click the chat sidebar, you can see who's online by seeing a green circle beside their name. =)

We have the same problem. I tried to find a way to get the old chat back, but i coudn't find a way. So, I guess it's stuck.

You can't. Why? People seem to not make a lot of extensions/addons that work for Internet explorer..you know the IE addons gallery right? Theres not much extensions..and very little variety. It might be possible but can be hard to find.(I tried using google to find it...they all suggest to download better browsers like chrome, firefox, safari, and etc)
