I am looking into getting into corporate work (events + onsite) and have been invited to attend a networking event for event buyers. I have done a lot of leg work on the internet trying to find out what is a competitive rate to charge and it's fruitless - all the companies require you to phone or give them all your details if you want a quote. How can I know what to charge? How do other people set their prices and what is fair?
Also - does anyone have any hints on what to say to people at networking events to tout for business.
