Gee do i get p**d off at hypocrites. I was at a bar for lunch today with an acquaintance and he was mouthing off about his prowess at getting ladies in the sack (Yawn) Anyway I said I find that a vist to one of the ladies on this site on an irregular basis keeps me happy without the strings. He was incredulous that I would see one of THOSE women! I put it to him that just because the lady he was with last time didn't request a fee doesn't mean she is not one of THEM. A one night stand usually doesn't start with how many men/women have you been with or it didn't in my day. I would be prepared to bet that any girl on this site sitting on a bar stool asked me if I wanted company I wouldn't know any better and unless she actually asks for a fee I would be none the wiser in the morning, Would I? I told him he was a hypocrite and that at least I was assured that I would get what I came for when next I visit a lady. In fact, some of the wls I have met could wipe the floor with some of the skanks he takes home. I left in a huff! Don't get me wrong I am not championing the wls side simply that this is fact! Do any of you agree? Ok off my soapbox now. :evil:

Do you think it is cheaper to be married? Or cheaper to see an escort once a week for sex?

This is what i worked out:

See an escort that charges $250 an hour once a week.
$250 x 52 weeks = $13 000

See an escort for 10 years at the same rate for an hour each week.
$13 000 x 10 years = $130 000

Be Married for 10 years. Supposing your worth $500 000 (inc assests such as House and Car)

$500 000 divided by 2 mpter divorce = $250 000 (which goes to your ex)

What are peoples thoughts on this???? (Aren't i a stirrer!! hehehe!)

I would say that seeing an escort would be cheaper than dating someone (and you know you're going to get some Reviewom the escort lol)

If a man was in an unhappy marriage then the idea of seeing a lady once a week might seem like a more attractive (and yes cheaper) proposition. But if he was in a happy marriage then there is more to it than just the assets and gifts etc. It's the emotional side of things too. The companionship, waking up next to someone everyday. Conversation etc etc. I don't feel that a price can be put on that.

You are right, of course, whoreboy. It is no subsititute for a loving relationship (just as long as the relationship doesn't break down).

I visit WLs Reviewom time to time, because I am not in a relationship, but have a basic need for physical contact that I can't ignore (its not just about the sex). I just don't think that it is quite fair to make comparisons between being in a relationship and visiting a WL.

That attitude described by tonyspagony does seem to be hypocritical, and is probably born of ignorance. I think a lot of people who have never had any contact with this industry have a very stereotyped view of it. (You know the attitude - guys who boast that "I would never pay for sex", when in fact they have done exactly that by trying to pick up in bars, paying for dates etc.)

My ex-boyReviewiend (he was my boyReviewiend at the time), was doing some math one night on a notepad. I asked what he was doing and he told me he was wroking out if it would be cheaper to see me 24 hours 5 days a week as a sex worker on a yearly basis or whether it was cheaper to keep his wife (ex wife). Hang on a min.... If someone spends 130 000 in ten years on a escort they spend all of that money leaving $0. i agree with some of these thoughts.

i dont think you can compare seeing a WL to being in a relationship, but i think it can be ompared to dating or picking up in bars. if the main objective is for a guy to get laid then a WL may be the answer. it doesnt compare to a loving relationship by any means though.

the cost of seeing a WL against dating (dinners, etc) then it is often cheaper and you know exactly what you ar getting. i think both have their place.

another interesting thing is that the cost of seeing a WL for a man in an unhappy marriage may be cheaper then divorce. i am not saying i agree with cheating on a partner but if for a man in an unhappy marriage who is looking for something physical it may actually provide a cost effective solution. if you see visiting a WL as nothing more then a business transaction then it could save marriages...

Firstly WB it was not in jest, I have no great love for the institution of marriage.
Secondly, I can see how my comment could have been taken as negative, but that was not the intent. I enjoy the company of women but have no desire to live with one again and so the ability to have sex and conversation with a lovely woman and then to be able to walk away mpterwards without worrying about all the detritus of a girlReviewiend type relationship is to me really priceless. I enjoy having female Reviewiends but not the attitude of ownership that comes with a sexual relationship.
