I introduced a new budgie, but have a few questions?

I've had a boy budgie for about 6 months now and hes very sweet never agressive or anything, but he seems very lonely. a few weeks I got him a CD of bird noises which seemed to help a little, but I still felt bad for the poor guy, so today I went out and bought him a girlfriend. I was nervous because I've had birds in the past be aggressive towards eachother, but I took the chance anyway to have. them in the same cage together (if worst came to worst I would just go out and buy another cage)
-BUT, when I introduced them earlier my boy fell in love!! no aggression at all, and it looks like she adores him! they even started preening eachother within the first 2 minutes of meeting.

ANYWAY long story short, they get along well, but are there any other precautions I should be taking? Also she is a little younger than him maybe by 3-6 months. oh, and one more thing, I think shes having a hard time perching, will she get use to perches? Because, I think shes lived in a glass cage with the floor bedding pretty much her whole life.

Love is in the air~~

It is natural for a bird to perch, no matter what. I would be concerned about her previous diet.
If you have dowels for perches, get them out and cut small diameter tree branches for both birds
to perch on. Bark on the branches will help her be able to perch. Be sure you have a cuttle bone for the needed calcium. I doubt she had one in a class cage.

you should not house them together its too soon ,if she has a disease you just shared it, it s best to watch the poops make sure normal green white center perfect round not brown not wet not yellow , watch tail does it bob up and down/ poop vent dry feathers? your male is blue nose cere bright shiny breeding mode, dark choc tan female breeding mode... males will talk, it would bond to you... no mirrors no shiny bells they will love themselves only you your voice your attention but now you added a mate your male will start ignoring you...
