Has anyone done this course with Gateway Workshops? If so how was your experience?

If not, does anybody know of any other providers?

Yes, I've done the IFM/Facial Rejuvenation course with Gateway and I thought it was very good. A friend and I went to Claire's house in Richmond for the day and we were taught the moves in a thorough fashion. I have to say, though, that it does help if you already have knowledge of say Facials or Indian Head Massage as you would already know the A&P of the face and how to do the massage movements. I also have a DVD of the course to jog my memory as there are lot of moves to take in. I use it now in my holistic facial routines (although I do treat IFM - the treatment can last up to one and half hours to do properly.

I would recommend it and if you are registered with FHT (and already have Indian Head Massage or similar) they will recognise this and you can add it to FHT insurance.

do you mean the facial rejuvination face lift massage or the indian pressure point facial that is taught with most IHM modules?
The facial rejuvination face lift massage is fantastic and I did the course with the originators of both Indian head massage in this country and this which are the Mehta's and they are based in London, they are very thorough. I used to have a post with the info on, it may well still be lurking somewhere if you do a search.

Hi, the facial rejuvination course with the Mehta's looks really interesting, I've been looking at the website. I'm thinking of adding another therapy for my clients in the future, and I wondered if you thought you neededmassage qualification before doing this course? I have qualifications in reflexology and anatomy and physiology.

Its a good question. If you already have your A&P from a recognised source I can see no problem here, having done the Metha's course it is very full and comprehensive and at one point you are all just sat down practicing this one particular move which can make or break your routine. It would be useful to have "confident and flexible hands that are intune to touch" but obviously if you are a reflexologist you should have this already. Pretty much most of the course is hands on and fairly intense and the class size and decent tuition means that you get a good class to staff ratio and attention to detail should you be going astry. Also you will probably be working on other therapists so you can use that feedback to.

Did my IHM course with Maxine Fone in Charing Cross at the weekend and it was really good. Nice small group of 8 ladies and we went through the sequence in depth, so now it's just about practising on other people.
I'd recommend it. It was booked through gateway.

I also did my IFM with Gateway. I did it at Richmond with Claire. She is a excellent teacher and I would highly recommend her.
