introducing a cat to a new dog and the new dog to the dog?

i have a cat who stays in the house that gets along great with my outside dog(rotweiler mix) my cat goes outside and he is fine with her...i am going to get a new dog(chihuahua mix) and i need to introduce her to the cat and the outside dog as i would like to let her out to go potty any tips on how to do these two difficult tasks?

have the new dog sleep on a towel or something. then give the towel to the old dog and cat before and after eating. the dog and cat will get used to the new dogs smell, and associate the smell with good feelings like eating. then after a day or 2 bring the new dog in to meet them, but keep the dog in a carrier. just let the old dog and cat sniff the new puppy. after a few minutes put the new dog in your room. that's enough interaction for the first day. next day go ahead and introduce them properly.

honestly for the cat doesnt really need an introduction if the cat doesnt like the dog it will hiss at it and run but they will get used to eachother, as for the other dog arotwieler is alot bigger than a chihuahua so put a boundary between them like a fence so they can meet eachother and then when you are sure the rotweiler will not harm it, let them be together. I have 4 cats and 3 dogs so i have alot of expierence with this and it works everytime
