Introducing a new hamster to my dwarf hamster?

Dwarf hamsters were known to be social creatures correct?

I've had my dwarf hamster for a while now, (not sure how long...) and he seems lonely, all alone in his cage.

I was thinking of buying another hamster so that way he won't be sad just playing with a human being, but instead playing with someone of his kind.

But if I bring in a new dwarf hamster, will they instantly try to kill each other?

more than likely they will.
u should only introduce another hamster within 7 days of getting your other one.
they normally get used to being on their own and adding another hamster could cause stress

i don't know about trying to kill each other BUT i would almost guarantee that the larger one will be the head of the pecking order. if you put them together WATCH them. do it for short periods of time. i tried the same thing with a mouse i once had as a pet. put a female in with him and over time he chewed her hair off then one day i found her dead.

I think it is possible that they might try to kill each other because that is the same thing with saimese fighting fish. I had siamese fighting fish and when we bought them the fish store manager said don't put them in the same bowl or fish tank because they will try to kill and eat eacher other. So i think that you should try to just by a regular hamster or just play with it and see what happens but if that dosen't work i suggest you just buy a regular hamster.
