Introducing a new puppy to my current dog.?

I am getting a new puppy tonight around 9pm from the airport. I have a current puppy that is almost a year old, and I've had him for about a year. Before we lived with another who had a dog and they got along quite well. My current puppy never seems to have any issues with any other dogs he comes in contact with is and is always very friendly. I've been reading tips on how to introduce a new puppy to a new dog and most of them say bring them to an unfamiliar/non-teritorial area, to pay equal attention to both dogs, let them sniff each other when I go to introduce them etc, etc. Does anyone have any other advice for me?
*My current puppy lived with another dog for about 7 months or so before moving on our own.
