introducing bearded dragons?

i have a baby bearded dragon, and i think its a male because hes already got so big in the few months wev had him but also when we let our chinese water dragons see him from a distance, it increased the males need to mate with the female so we assumed that hes a boy because i read that if another male is introduced they can spark mating habits. however i may be wrong but me and my partner want to get our beardy a mate because we dont want him to be lonely but we are really unsure if its safe to introduce them now or if its dangerous to be unsure of the different sexes. any ideas anyone! will be a big help!
