Introducing dogs into the house?

I have a dog and we are going to look after another dog in november. they have already met and they seem to be ok with each other but the other dog hasn't been to my house. my dog is quite aggressive when it comes to territory, so what should i do so that both dogs can get along?

normally when I introduce a new dog I keep one of them in another room so they can sniff at each other under the door and get used to each others cents. after awhile you can put them both on leashes and let them be in the same room and you have some more control of whether or not they can get closer to each other or not. it might take a few days sometimes alittle more for the dogs to settle down but when they realize they have to coexist they should get along just fine.

Well im not sure if this differs too much, but we just got a new kitten and had to introduce him into a house filled with other animals and what we did was keep him in a seperate room for a couple days with all the stuff he needed and my family perioically went up to play/visit with him. With a dog you could do the same thing but you'd have to let him outside to "go" every so often. Then after a day or two we started bring our kitten down for little visits with the other animals and then brought him back up to his room just so he could slowly get used to all the other animals. And if after a while and they still don't get along, keep them on different floors of the house if thats possible.
