I have a 15 almost 16 year old Lhasa Apso, she is still so lively it's incredible but she isn't really overly socialized with other dogs, she prefers to stay around home these days. My brother got a boxer just over a year ago, she's basically a year and a half now, and I will admit she is a bit of a terror but she's just trying to play; however she is clearly a lot bigger than my 11 pound Lhasa Apso and my dog is a little bit crusty toward her. I don't think they will be settling down around each other because my brother lives about 4 hours from me so they don't spend long periods of time together basically just every other weekend so it's difficult and the boxer doesn't get time to get used to her. However, on Saturday my family is getting a Doberman, she will be just over 8 weeks and when we get her they will be basically the same size so we figure it'll be a good time to get them adjusted, but how should we go about this? The Dobe won't have all of her shots so no nose-to-nose or anything and she's a risk when we walk her incase she picks something up, not to mention it's pretty cold here so it might be hard to keep them outside for long. So how should I go about this introduction? Any tips are appreciated!
P.S. sorry this is so long.
