Introducing new kitten in the house question ?

Hey everyone,

The thing is, I have a 3.5 year old cat, he is male, extremely domestic, big and well, VERY territorial and arrogant (not with me, with the rest of the world). One of my close friends had a problem at her house and had to leave, and she has a 3 month old kitten. She asked me if I could take care of him and eventually, keep him and I said yes, he's really cute and I don't mind to take care of him. I have absolutely no idea how to introduce new cats in the house, since this is the first time... They already saw each other and hissed at each other, but I'm keeping the kitten inside my room with the door closed. I'm scared that my old cat could harm the kitty... it terrifies me.

Any advice PLEASE !
 
Look this up in google- "introducing new kitten to other pets" because you'll probably get a lot more better answers than you'll get here. Good luck!
 
start them off slowly and they will get along eventually
 
okay introduce them again you will be in the same room *obviously* and keep the kitten near you , if your older cat hisses again either do something to scare him or just hiss back and let him know the kitten is not to be harmed. basically warn your cat. you need to be the dominate one.
