My 4 month old got the ok from the Ped to try introducing solids... he's very advanced for his age, acting interested in what we eat, often grabbing for my food on the table. He was a breast fed babe just until 2 weeks ago...(not by choice, unfortunately I had to get on an antibiotic and wasn't able to BF...and he became TOO accustomed to the bottle So now he's on formula...but I want to start introducing foods to him... HOW??? And do I REALLy need to give him rice cereal (he sleeps through the night and I've heard rice cereal is often given to babies who have trouble sleeping?) We tried 2 slices of a banana the other night and he LOVED it...LOL... he was so excited!! So I want to start but am just a little confused as to when you give it to them? I know it's not to replace a bottle...so do you let them taste a little food after or before a bottle, or in between their feedings (he usually eats 4-6 oz every 2-3 hours... and also, is there a better time of the day for him to eat solids....morning, noon, night??? Thanks for any help!!!
