introducing with the mother in law this weekend?

Hi everyone thanks for clicking my link.

So i am very nervous about meeting my boyfriends mother, the reason why is she only speaks English she is Indian race, Im Hispanic and i don't think i am ready to speak to her properly because i moved to the united states 4 years ago and don't think im ready to have a plenty conversation im not sure if i speak politely correctly i feel that still don't know a lot and i don't want to mess up Im afraid i might get stuck.

But i really want to do this fer my boyfriends and i own good.

I just want his parents to like me, Any advices?

Let her know about all this you write in your question, and about you in general. She's certainly eager to know. You are trying hard to catch up with the society and that's merit on its own, there's no point in hiding it. Most probably she'll be much more interested of your qualities as daughter in law than of your English, even more if English is not even her mother tongue. Ever thought of learning a bit of her language? It would be appreciated, however little it is (but the more the better). On the other hand, don't expect her to learn Spanish. Do help her if she wants to, but don't count on it.

Do you mean American Indian or Indian from India? I can make some differences in how to act properly.
