Sooner or later someone brings up the question ,licensed or not?
So far on one on this board has completely cleared it up.
Before discussing licensed and non-licensed places, you have to know the existing licenses and the difference between them.
There are 2 main type of licenses:
1. Body Rub Parlours.
2. Aromatherapy (Holistic).
Body Rub license allows you to hire attendants without special training courses. That means the attendants of a body rub parlour can be anyone, man or woman, as long as he/she has a clean police record, and no medical problems.
What you are permitted to do! (Body Rub)
A full body massage is permitted, as long as the private areas are covered on both the attendants and the clients.
Except in Brampton and Missisaga, where nude massages are permitted.
Now for aromatherapy (Holistic)
The attendants can be anyone, man or woman, as long as he/she has completed aromatherapy school.(full completion of 140 hours)and receiving a certificate or diploma upon completion.
With an aromatherapy license it is permitted to give an aromatherapy massage, using aroma oils. The private areas are covered on both the attendants and the clients.
All the places that have one of the above licenses are licensed.
