Hey, I have an idea. For those of us who are starting at a new place, or need more clients for any reason post you daily marketing activities. My goal is 4 per day 4 days per week. A marketing activity can be whatever you want, as long as you were promoting your business. Join in if you want to.
Today I shared my Gift Certificate Specials via my FB page for my business and personal, also on a local moms forum I am on. I booked our office manager for a comp. massage for tomorrow. so 3 today.

I graduate next week. Yeah!! I think I will try taking my chair to car dealerships during big sales and get approval to do chair massage on site. Thinking about going to business offices in the area too. I think I have to wait until I'm licensed though.

Great idea!

yesterday I said yes to 2 weeks of free advertisement on backpage.com It seems a little like Craigslist and I'm not sure its the greatest because there are some iffy ads on there, but I already had 3 inquiries, no bookings though. Today I changed the advert to reflect my Rossiter work, for which this site might be better suited. I also started a coaches forum for Rossiter coaches on LinkedIn 2 days ago.

Today I will (yes, I will - don't want to, I'm shy too, but YES, I will.) go into one of the businesses I have in mind to talk about rossiter and massage.

Well I had great news this morning!! I wrote a Local Shopping Guide for the business association here in town, and it was published in the local paper it featured about 20 businesses including mine. :grin: I also booked a new client for Monday referral from the DC I work with. I am planning to call the daycare where my son goes and offer to do chair massage one day next week. That will take care of my teacher gifts and promote my office. I'm trying to think of a small goodie bag so that they will all leave with a treat and my info.

Today I posted our special gift card package on my FB page (4 $50 gcs for $200...no limit on who can use them. We had a couple come in today that just moved here and are used to getting regular massage. They liked us and our place so much they bought $400 worth of gcs for themselves to use throughout the year!!!!) as well as other holiday specials .

I sent Christmas cards out to my regulars and semi-regulars. The semis got a $10 off coupon for the next appt, the regs got a choice of 15 additional minutes on their next massage or a 15 minute mini-facial, both complimentary.

I went to sleep thinking "I need to think of some kind of referral program' and woke up with the answer! I just didn't get a chance to sit down on the puter and print up the info 'cause I was booked steady all day. So that's on tomorrow's list.

ok, so I did not do it. But! the reason is that I realized I don't have any materials to hand out. I have even gotten really low on business cards. So I did print out a new batch of business cards and worked on a new brochure for the new work I do. so, Today, I will finish the brochure and get copies made. My goal is to get some placed in at least 2 locations (coffee shop and library) in my immediate location.

I am a social media junky...I just did a search of like minded people and introduced myself. Now I have a group of professionals that I can referre clients too if they need some extra help. All I did was asked them to send me business cards

This is quite timely. I'm revamping my currently low-key efforts and plan to re-launch in the new year. So right now it's all about study, practice, prepare. Kind of like the last weeks of massage school all over again!

Updated my facebook page to reflect the change in name of my practice, new availability, and upcoming specials.

Sought out like-minded people in my area on twitter and added their names to my feed.

I just did that last night on my FB page. It was just a simple quote about healing by Hippocrates with an open-ended question about what people thought it meant and it generated a lot more interest than any other post I've made.

I did get off track with holidays, endless company, and lots of bad weather here. I had quite a few cancellations from people being snowed in. t009

This idea came to me while I was looking at store flyers. I am going to start selling gift cards buy 3 get 2 free, just like Big Y and BOGO like Payless. I have been thinking these ideas work for the big stores so why not me and it will keep people coming back. My buy 3 get 2 free idea I am going to try for Valentines day

Update on this little goal.. I did really bad with it for a while just because I had so much going on and to be honest, I didn't make it as big of a priority as I should have. However, I'm starting up again and have been going into the office just to hang out (it's so relaxing just BEING there, I love it!). I was interested in the amount of people I saw who would either walk/drive by without a 2nd glance (the suite I'm in has been empty for quite a while) or would look and see that something new was there but won't actually stop to see what.

I've started waving at people who are walking by and glance in and that actually gets a few people to stop in and see what's there. I've been able to give them a tour of the yoga studio that's next to me and show off everyone's rooms and the relaxation area. One day a lady walked by with the most beautiful cocker spaniel I had ever seen, so I went outside and started making a fuss over how gorgeous he was and how much I love spaniels- that made talking to her SO much easier than just walking out and going straight into a sales pitch about massage. Anyway, she said she noticed something new was in this space and kept meaning to stop by and check it out, but just hadn't gotten around to it yet so she was glad I came out and talked to her. I haven't gotten any appointments yet from doing this, but my cards have been disappearing like mad! I think I might run out before my new ones come.
