Marketing Yourself When Working For Salon/Spa

Hello!

It's been six months now that I've been working at a local salon/spa. I have an arrangement that suits nicely: I'm on-call and sometimes it can be comfortably busy.

The salon markets itself as a whole and in general does a pretty good job. My question though is: what can I do to market myself without offering a discount or coupon type of hook?

Any ideas?

You could have massage-specific brochures and posters set out, in the windows and elsewhere. Do you have business cards with the salon's contact info and your name and specific services? Have signs the give ideas like "Waiting for Mom? Get a massage while she gets a perm!"

I also work in a salon/spa and sometimes I walk around and introduce myself to guests while their color is processing. I give my card and sometimes offer a complimentary hand massage.
