Markham Oasis...warning

Okay...so I am a long time lurker who has finally decided to post something to the board...let's just say, I should have known better!!!

Last Wednesday I ended up on a mission but wasn't sure due to work engagaments when I would have an opportunity to go so I never booked an appointment. I tend to go to the well known spas - IT, HFH, Allure, Blue Pearl - but have attended some lesser knowns/less popular as the need arises. After checking out the websites last Wednesday, I decide if I have time i'll drop by Steeles Royale (had a FABULOUS session with Krystal a few weeks ago). I drop in, only Chantal is available - real cute but not my type...so I head on. My appointments take me to the East end of the city, so I decide to call HFH on my way - of course with their all star lineup there is nobody available in the near future. I can't remember the IT phone number so I decide to drop in - Brooke comes to the front desk and i'm thinking it's going to be my lucky day - not to be had (she is smoking!!!). I can't remember who was available but she is the one person at IT that really doesn't do it for me (okay so I'm picky!!!)

I have never ventured through the EBC area so I drive around there a bit but like a classier spa and remember that i had read some half decent posts on massageplanet.net about Markham Oasis - decide to look it up and drive over there. Greeted and offered 2 young ladies - Serena (should have taken her) and this smoking Oriental girl (forget her name) wearing a lab coat and glasses. Having been to SRM lately and knowing there penchant for dressup I assume that's what this is...not.

I should have walked out (or asked for somebody else) as soon as the massage started as she left the towel on...I realize halfway through that this girl, although smoking, is a RMT. We have a great conversation and I have one of the best massages I have ever had but unfortunately that was not what I was looking for - I should have been made aware at the front desk what was being offered!!!

There have been many times in the past that I would have gone on to another place after this, however I was going out of town and had no time left...let's just say frustrating.

Body: 8/10 (way too covered up)
Spa: 6/10 (I hate the communal shower thing)
Massage: 10/10
Release: 0/10
Repeat: Not

Since when did Markham Oasis switch to RMT massage services? I thought they were always a rub-n-tug? Maybe you just got REALLY low mileage........

Are you sure that you were at Markham Oasis? There are a number of other MPs at that same location, and I know that one of them fits that description....she gives a great massage, and she also gives a good release. everything is extra clean, and she usually is in the lab coat...

Did the MP have a reception downstairs and then you went upstairs to the rooms? Or did you have to go up the stairs, and knock on the door (did you see the budha standing guard?)

Was it your first time at Oasis? they sometimes play the game because you're not familiar to them.

I was at Oasis in late November/early December, while they had a by-law inspection. It took about 30 minutes and customers were not hassled, though I saw by-law officers and MPA's talking somewhat heatedly. When I saw my MPA after the inspection, she said that by-law visits are getting more frequent, and it may influence how some of them may treat their clients, my session included!

I'm sure if you're a regular, your attendant may feel more comfortable with you. If, however, you are a walk-in, like the poster, your service may be different.

Also, and this is just speculation on my part, Oasis is a stone's throw away from Mirage, and maybe there is more attention to spas in the area as a result.

Sounds like the attendant was being cautious with you because you were an unfamiliar face. From your description of the MPA, sounds like you had Carmen, a pretty Chinese girl - new to MO who gives great RMT quality massage! Consider yourself lucky in some ways ;-) I imagine if you were to return for another session with her, your session would be different as both she and the front Operator would recognize you...

It was definately my first time and I understand about unfamiliarity, however if all that is being offered is RMT than that should have been clarified. Like I said, fabulous RMT, highly recommended if that was what you are looking for - as for myself I use company benefits for RMT and go to places I can get a receipt...never thought of asking for one...

The MP mentioned that she was Korean, when she first came to Canada she lived in Calgary...hopefully that sheds light on the subject.

OK, now I am almost certain the post was originally about Sandra, the 'smokin hot Oriental girl'. She's Korean.. speaks English very well, and quite attractive...good massage. If she worked last Wed, this is likely her again. Perhaps worth another try SiTTmon? ;-)

Was there at Markham Oasis last Friday after a long hiatus. Learned that Tiffany was no longer there. Had a session with a Philipino girl -- Alana (?). Very hot body, very firm man-mades. Charged $170 for 45 minutes, left in the middle to arrange for her cab, and very mechanical in her attitude. Session ended up being only about 25 to 30 mins. One of the worst experiences I have ever had at MO. Looks like another 18 months before I go back again.

Are you sure she is a true RMT or you received a RMT-like masage? Cuz if they have a true RMT there....... my whole year RMT/RNT plan might have to change.
Someone mentioned about Alana..... YMMV, that's what I would have to say.
