massage tables

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some advice about portable treatment couches and am hoping that someone can help. I have had a look on the internet at various sites but am unsure about picking any one company. I am getting in a bit of a pickle about it all and I wondered if anyone has any thoughts on the subject.

I got my table several years ago off ebay - got a table worth £500 for £150!! - having a search on there today there are some good tables on there at very reasonable prices.

You need to think about what treatments you will be offering before you buy a table - are you going to be mobile? - are some of your potential clients larger in frame/height? as you will need a light/wider/longer/head cradle table...

The other alternative is to go to one of the trade shows and actually have a look at the tables. If you can find a type that you like then you can search the internet to find the best price.

Thanks for the advice! I hadn't thought of Ebay and had a look - you're right, there are some bargains for sale there. Think I might put in a bid for one.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the massage forum - I wasn't sure where to put the original message and that's why it is where it is!
I got a reply suggesting that I look on ebay and there are some good buys there but I have just had a quick look at the massage forum ( now you have brought it to my attention) and it looks like there's lots of interesting stuff there too.
