The massage and spa franchise has plans to knead its way across the stateโ
MassageLuxe, a spa franchise specializing in massages as well as aesthetic services, is expanding its footprint in Minnesota through new and existing franchising, with plans to open 16 locations across the state over the next five years. The massage franchise currently operates nearly 100 locations.
The growth plans come as the massage industry is on the rise. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for massage therapists is expected to climb as more consumers embrace massage therapy as part of their regular health and wellness routines. Similarly, employment for massage therapists is projected to grow 18% from 2023 to 2032โ considerably faster than the average for all occupations.
Reuben Levy, a MassageLuxe franchisee with five locations, has been a partner for several years โ starting out as a loyal customer of the brand.
โI couldnโt speak highly enough about the brand, the teams weโve built and our loyal customers,โ Levy said. โWeโre in an amazing, growing industry and thereโs a ton of opportunity, especially if youโre passionate about the physical and mental health of your community. Itโs a great organization to join with constant and consistent support for your business and I can definitely see the brand thriving in Minnesota.โ
The franchise offers a zero-enrollment fee membership model and allows clients to roll over unused services to future months โ a perk designed to keep members engaged. However, MassageLuxe also welcomes non-members to book massages and aesthetic services. Add-on options, such as hot stone therapy and scalp massages, allow clients to customize their treatments, and the spaโs retail section offers skincare products, creating an additional revenue stream. The estimated initial cost to open a MassageLuxe franchise varies from $569,600 to $799,900, with an initial franchise fee of $42,500.
